Shobuje Shajai Dhaka
Shakti Foundation plans to plant 1 lakh trees in Dhaka city this year in a joint initiative with Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha(RAJUK). Shakti Foundation participated in the week-long tree plantation program in the first phase of this program.
The week-long tree planting program organized by the Ministry of Housing and Public Works was inaugurated by R. A. M. Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, MP, Hon'ble Minister, Ministry of Housing and Public Works today on 8th July at Purbachal Mechanical Stackyard premises. Major General Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarker (Retd.), Chairman, Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) and Md Nabirul Islam, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Public Works were also present on the occasion.
Shakti Foundation is planting different species of herbs, fruits and forest trees in the first phase for a week to mitigate the environmental challenges of Dhaka city. Shakti Foundation's active participation in the initiative “Shobuje Shajai Dhaka” would help us play a leading role in creating a greener future for the generations to come.
