Reaching the Unreachable
During the 2022 Sylhet Flash Floods, our dedicated staff rushed to the aid of the flood victims with relief materials, emergency healthcare and essential medicines. Furthermore, Shakti distributed water purification tablets and improved filtration devices to ensure the provision of clean, drinking water. Dry food, oral saline, water purification tablets, medicine and other aid worth BDT 23.89 lakhs was distributed to the flood affected residents.
The Health Program collaborates with the Disaster Response team to provide disaster survivors with mass healthcare services.
Shakti expanded its Mini Ambulance services to meet disaster-related requirements of vulnerable populations in remote areas.
COVID 19 Public Assistance
Upon the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic and its subsequent lockdowns, Shakti has undertaken several holistic activities. This includes the introduction of a healthcare hotline, development of and training on safety protocols, ensure supply of masks and sanitizers, and provision of financial assistance
